Mental health has never been more important, especially since the COVID-19 epidemic.

Public Health England has launched the Better Health to help with this, and their Every Mind Matters campaign to support the nation’s mental wellbeing with the message that “when things aren’t so good out there, make inside feel better”.

Their website includes sections on the mental health of children and young people and details how you can kick start your health:

Looking after a child’s mental health

There are times when we all feel the strain. As parents and carers, there are ways we can support children and young people to give them the best chance to stay mentally healthy and help them cope with whatever further changes we all may face.

Self-care for young people

Let’s be honest: 2020 has been pretty tough, and being back at school or college is not exactly a walk in the park either. That’s why taking care of our mental health is so important, especially now. Check out our self-care videos for loads of tips and techniques to help you do just that.

Kickstart your health

Physical and mental health go hand in hand. Loads of the things you do for your body, like getting active or eating better, will boost your mental wellbeing too – and Better Health has the tools, advice and support to help you.
