Being part of a group or club helps you connect with others. Look for those which focus on things you like or would like to try. Our Community Information Hub, the Windsor Directory of Community Groups and Charities or the Maidenhead Directory can help.

A new case unveiled at the Museum

A new display case has been unveiled at Windsor & Royal Borough Museum, through the help of a bequest from a local historian and the Friends of the Museum. Hester Davenport (1936-2013) was a dedicated local historian and author, and contributed significantly to the formation of the museum. She was also an active member of the Friends of the Museum, and later dedicated her bequest to them.

Hester’s husband, Tony, unveiled the case on 14 May, supported by friends and family.

New gateway signs to welcome you to Windsor

The first batch of six new gateway signs have been erected this week to mark the Windsor boundary, as part of the Vision for Windsor project. The new signs are in full colour cast metal and feature the Royal Borough’s crest. They replace the previous signs, which have been in place for over 20 years and were funded by the Rotary Clubs in Windsor.

The new signs were made possible through funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and installation by VolkerHighways.
