travellers holyport green jul 25

Dear Residents,

The Deputy Clerk attended Holyport Green shortly after 2:00 PM on Wednesday, 2nd July, to meet with representatives from Thames Valley Police regarding the presence of a traveller encampment.

The Police have engaged with the travellers and have agreed to allow them to remain overnight on the condition that they show respect for the local community. Thames Valley Police will be conducting an Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) survey with local residents tomorrow to ensure that any concerns are documented and addressed promptly.

Should you wish to provide information or have any concerns, please contact Thames Valley Police, quoting reference 43250329893. In the event of an emergency, dial 999. For non-emergency matters, please contact 101.

The Neighbourhood Inspector and Sergeant are fully aware of the encampment and are actively monitoring the situation.

The Deputy Clerk will revisit the site tomorrow morning to assess whether the number of occupants has increased. If the travellers continue to behave respectfully, they may be permitted to stay for a few days. If not, both Thames Valley Police and Bray Parish Council will review and determine the appropriate next steps.

For general enquiries, please contact the Deputy Clerk, Jon Davey, at deputy@brayparishcouncil.gov.uk
